It is that time of year again as Harrah’s Hoosier Park will welcome students from across Madison County for the annual Fourth Grade Field Trip Day. More than 500 students from fourth grade classes all around Anderson and Madison County will visit Tuesday, Sept. 17 and Wednesday, Sept. 18, spending the day back to Harrah’s Hoosier Park for our annual fourth grade field trip event! Over 500 4th grade students from various schools throughout Anderson will take part in the event from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

The students will visit various educational booths to learn about harness racing, watch a mock race, visit the barns and receive gift bags during their visit. All students and their families will be invited back to Hoosier Park for Harvestfest and Community Night at the Races on Friday, September 20.
For the fourth consecutive year, Harrah’s Hoosier Park has partnered with the Harness Horse Youth Foundation (HHYF), Indiana Standardbred Association (ISA) and Anderson Community School Corporation to make this a fun and educational visit for the students. This is one of the biggest events of the year and the students truly look forward to visiting.
Harrah’s Hoosier Park, HHYF and ISA are looking for volunteers for both days. Each group will be accompanied by a teacher or volunteer from the school, however additional adult volunteers are needed for assistance during the event.
Anyone interested in volunteering should contact Rose Flood at Harrah’s Hoosier Park by email at rflood@caesars.com.
