Columbus, OH — The U. S. Trotting Association invites member racetracks and horsemen’s organizations to apply for broadcast funding that will be made available in the Association’s 2023 budget. Funds are intended for the use of television, radio, or online production of harness racing events or special interest stories and telecasts. The line item amount will be determined at the USTA Board of Directors meeting in Columbus, Ohio, from March 10-12.

All requests must be submitted to the USTA no later than March 1, with allocations being decided at the aforementioned full board meeting. If remaining funds are available, further applications will be taken until July 1 and decided by July 15. The USTA Marketing and Communications Committee will review all submissions and make a recommendation on each.
Applicants are asked to direct their requests to Dan Leary (dan.leary@ustrotting.com), USTA director of marketing and communications. Submissions should include the following information.
1) Content/intent of the broadcast to be funded.
2) Platform(s)/channel(s) on which show will be aired.
3) Date(s) and times(s) when show will air.
4) Anticipated reach of show.
5) Description of use of funds.
6) Listing of other funding partners, if any, and percentage of total costs assumed by each.

NOTE: This service would be available for Indiana organizations, including county fairs that offer Standardbred racing this season.
