The U.S. Trotting Association (USTA) will conduct its annual meeting for District 2, which includes Indiana and Michigan Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018 at 3:30 p.m. in the Racing Administration Building at Hoosier Park. This is a great opportunity for all members of the USTA to learn about important updates and proposals on the horizon for harness racing.

Because District 2 consists of members from both Michigan and Indiana, the USTA alternates locations each year to accommodate as many members as possible. This year’s meeting has been scheduled for a racing program afternoon so that all members can attend and then still make their racing commitments. The sessions will include lunch, conversation, and an opportunity to weigh in on rule change proposals. The current proposals are available on the USTA Website at:

Current USTA directors for District 2 include Marilyn Breuer-Bertera, chairman, of Michigan, Jay Cross, Sam Hedington and Scott Peine of Indiana, and Steve Oldford and Mike Sweeney of Michigan. Russell Williams is the current president of the USTA board.
