The arrival of the Indiana State Fair also means it’s time for the Indiana Sired Fair Circuit Championships. Two sessions are scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 6 with consolation races for two and three-year-olds on both the trot and the pace set for 11 a.m. followed by the $20,000 championships set for a start time of 6 p.m.

The very first championship will bring two standouts together as Makeitagaingo and Tropical Tracey meet in the $20,000 ISFC for two-year-old filly pacers. Both fillies have won six races this summer with Tropical Tracey securing the quicker record of 1:55.1 taken at Harrah’s Hoosier Park. Makeitagaingo starts from post two for trainer Curtis Sumpter and driver Matt Rheinheimer while Tropical Tracey has drawn post seven in the eight-filly lineup with Trace Tetrick named to drive for Donna Holt.
Another contender that could prove to be tough among freshman fillies is Baby Lets Roll from the Justin White barn. The Time to Roll filly has come on strong late and will begin her journey from post eight with Joey Putnam in the bike.
Jack Myers and Alex Udell will send out two talented freshman fillies in the $20,000 ISFC for two-year-old filly trotters. J-S Miss Ruby, set for post four, and J-S Miss Carly, starting from post five, have been tough all summer and were undefeated earlier in the season. Mike Peterson will drive J-S Miss Ruby while Udell will drive J-S Miss Carly.
Two fillies that have come on strong recently are Whom Shall I Love from the Don Eash barn and Sleeping Judy from the Doug Rideout Stable. Both have multiple wins this summer and are currently at the top of their game for the ISFC Championships.
