A trio of Jack Myers-trained horses proved they are ready for the upcoming racing season in Indiana. Driven by Alex Udell, J-S Swanman, J-S Power Chip, and J-S Perfect Cache each picked up wins during the eight-race qualifier Saturday, March 16 at Harrah’s Hoosier Park.

J-S Swanman sat in the two-hole the entire way before tipping out and trotting home in :27.4 to win by three and three-quarter lengths in a time of 1:59.2. J-S Perfect Cache scored a gate to wire effort in 1:59.1, also coming home in :27.4 while J-S Power Chip took the lead in the stretch for a win in 2:01.0.
A total of 51 horses took to the track for the second round of qualifiers for the 2019 racing season. Brilliant Strike N, trained by Jeff Cullipher and driven by Sam Widger, picked up the quickest pacing qualifier of the day with a win in 1:55.0 while the Charles Stewart-trained Gloire Dream turned in the quickest trotting mile on the day. Driven by Trace Tetrick, the In Dix Huit gelding stopped the timer in 1:56.4 in preparation for opening night, which is Friday, March 29.
The next set of qualifiers at Harrah’s Hoosier Park is slated for 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 20.
