Harrah’s Hoosier Park is 15 days away from having horses on the track. The Indiana Standardbred Association announced today that the main track at Harrah’s Hoosier Park would be open for training Monday, March 4 through Saturday, March 9 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. on a ship-in only basis. Those wishing to train on the track may do so those days by shipping into the race paddock only.

For those wishing to take advantage of early track access, all horses entering the grounds will be required to have all necessary paperwork upon arrival. This includes a negative coggins test, Rhino shot documentation and a 30-day health certificate if shipping in from out of state.
In addition, Harrah’s Hoosier Park has set the first qualifying dates. Qualifiers will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 13, Saturday, March 16, Wednesday, March 20 and Saturday, March 23. The annual dress rehearsal will be held Wednesday, March 27 at 5:30 p.m. to test lighting, cameras, track procedures and general racing routines. Drivers are expected to be in full colors for the dress rehearsal event.
