Tookadiveoffdipper, the former Indiana Sires Stakes Super Final champion, kicked off 2020 in a big way Saturday, Jan. 11. The six-year-old gelded son of Always a Virgin rallied home a winner in the $27,000 conditioned pace at Yonkers Raceway to win his first start of the new year.

Starting from post five, driver Jordan Stratton had Tookadiveoffdipper ready to roll as the gate folded and landed in the top spot, setting fractions of :27.1, 56.0 and 1:24.3 before fending of his rivals for the win in 1:53.1. He was a three-quarter of a length winner over Benhope Ruiz N and Brent Holland, paying $7.30 for the win.
Owned by Jane Cross of Illinois and Mark Cross of Tennessee, Tookadiveoffdipper is now trained by Virgin Morgan Jr. Jane has owned and operated a harness supply store in Olney, Illinois for decades and travels to all the fairs in a portable store each year to assist horsemen with equipment, supplies, etc.
It was the 30th career win for Tookadiveoffdipper and he now has in excess of $326,000 for the Cross family. His best time was taken at four at Dayton in 1:49.2, and he has shown speed on all sizes of tracks during his career of 82 starts. Tookadiveoffdipper was bred by Van Otterloo Stables of Iowa. He has a half-brother, Myskillspaydabills, who races in Minnesota and has a mark of 1:53.0 for the Van Otterloo Stables.
