Tellmeaboutit and Michael Oosting got the last word in with their win in the $18,000 Open Pace Friday, June 10. The duo turned in the fastest time of the season at Harrah’s Hoosier Park, stopping the timer in 1:48.2.

Tellmeaboutit used his post two to his advantage early moving up to snag a seat third behind Brookview Bullet and John DeLong, the first leaders and Beaumond Hanover and Sam Widger, who were three wide at the quarter in :26.0 before crossing over to the lead. Beaumond Hanover led the way through the half in :53.1 and three-quarters in 1:20.4 before Tellmeaboutit moved to the outside to find more racetrack to utilize.
In the stretch, Tellmeaboutit hit another gear, inching up on Beaumond Hanover to score the win by a head. My House and Andy Shetler moved in for third.
Tellmeaboutit was the favorite in the field, paying $5.00 for the win. The now six-year-old gelding is owned by Twila Harts and Alvin Miller. Miller trains the Tellitlikeitis son.
Bred by Lavon Miller, Tellmeaboutit now has 23 wins in 72 starts. His latest win pushed him over the $700,000 in earnings. His quickest time to date was taken as a five-year-old in 1:48.0. Following a very solid two-year-old season, Tellmeaboutit has taken marks under the 1:50 time barrier for four straight years now. The win in the Open was his first of 2022.
