The past few years have been very successful for Pond-A-Acres. They have had some of the state’s top two and three-year-olds on both the trot and the pace, including Ponda Warrior, Flagman, Ponda Jet, and this year’s undefeated Ponda Adventure. This year, they have several yearlings ready for the Hoosier Classic Yearling Sale with 17 advertised in the upcoming October issue of the Indiana Standardbred Magazine.

Pond-A-Acres will prepare 17 yearlings for the upcoming Hoosier Classic Yearling Sale, including a half brother to Ponda Adventure.
The consignment for Pond-A-Acres begins with Hip No. 44 with a colt from the first crop of Pilot Discretion. Ponda Pilot is the third foal from the Explosive Matter mare Matter of Days. His half sister, Ponda Express, by You Know You Do, has been timed in 1:58.1 already this season. The second day includes the standout trotting mare Classic Martine, who made more than $1 million in her career with a mark of 1:51.1.
One of the yearlings that will have the biggest draw of sale goers is Hip No. 93 Ponda Marshall. The chestnut colt by Helpisontheway is a half brother to the standout Ponda Adventure, who is undefeated this year and a winner in 15 of 17 career starts. Ponda Marshall is the third foal out of the Muscle Hill mare Wildflower. In addition to Ponda Adventure, who is closing in on a half-million in earnings, Ponda Chase, a full brother to Ponda Adventure, has raced this year with a best time of 2:04.3. Ponda Marshall will have a lot of foot traffic through the Pond-A-Acres consignment located in Aisle 15 at the sale.
Ponda Pete will represent another first-crop sire in Freaky Feet Pete. Listed as Hip No. 172, the colt is a half brother to Ponda Warrior, who has a mark of 1:49.1. The family also has a Time to Roll mare who has been timed in 1:53.0 named Sweet Sinsation. A lot of black type fills in the maternal side of family with the fourth dam the mother of the great Armbro Feather, multiple year-end Older Pacing Mare in both the U.S. and Canada.
A first foal out of a mare with more than $320,000 made will be offered as Hip No. 294. The Swan for All colt is out of the mare Chelseas Chance, a daughter of Kadabra who earned many wins on the Ontario Sires Stakes circuit. She also has numerous brothers and sisters with marks, including Chelseas Magic (1:54.4) and Royal Rob (1:56.1). Ponda Sorento is the latest foal from the family looking to carry on the winning tradition.
