It’s that time of year again where all advertisers in the October issue of the ISA Magazine will be highlighted leading up to the Hoosier Classic Yearling Sale, set for Friday, Oct. 21 and Saturday, Oct. 22 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. One of the farms represented at the sale is David Wayne Yoder of Shipshewana, Ind.

David Wayne Yoder Farm will offer six elite yearlings at the upcoming Hoosier Classic Yearling Sale Friday, Oct. 21 and Saturday, Oct. 22.
The consignment starts off strong with its first seller as Hip No. 18. Star Pilot, from the first crop of Pilot Discretion, sells as the first foal from the Crazed mare KZ Crazee, who earned nearly $100,000 during her career. The maternal family also includes Coco Lindy, who took a mark of 1:52.2 during his career and made more than $550,000.
Also in the lineup from David Wayne Yoder’s consignment is Next Generation, a son of Tellitlikeitis. The colt is the first foal from the Dali mare Savanah Georgia, who has a mark of 1:53.1. The second dam is My Girl Maddie, who is the mother of the standout Indiana pacer Jammin Joshua with a mark of 1:49.3 and $650,000 in earnings. She has also produced Tellitsassymae, who has a mark of 1:50.1 and earned $230,000.
David Wayne Yoder Farm will also sell a full sister to Buzzsaw Russ, who was the highest priced Rockin Image foal from 2021 at the Hoosier Classic Yearling Sale. The freshman has Indiana Sires Stakes preliminary wins to his credit and already has a mark of 1:51.1. She sells as Hip No. 283.
The consignment ends with a filly by Lost in Time, also a first crop selling sire. Infinite Lexy sells as Hip No. 408 and comes from a family of racehorses, including JK’s Champ with a mark of 1:52.4 and $78,000 in earnings. Her mother is a sister to Sheer Brilliance, who took a mark of 1:49.3 and made more than $500,000 during her racing career.
