Dave and Susanne White have been pillars of the racing community in the state of Indiana for more than five decades. Stabled at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, the White Stable has produced many top performers over the years, but more importantly, they are the first to give back and the first to step in and assist with any project large or small. It’s no surprise horsemen and horsewomen all across the Midwest didn’t even hesitate to step up and assist when the news came out of a training incident that left Dave sidelined for a while from the stable.

Dave and Susanne White are extremely appreciative of the support from the Standardbred community this winter. They send their heartfelt thanks to everyone and wish everyone a Merry Christmas.
Jeff Fought organized a “Go Fund Me” page and set a goal of $20,000 to assist with the White Stable’s medical expenses. In the description, Fought wrote, “I’m raining funds to help longtime Indiana horseman Dave White. Dave was involved in a serious training accident a few days ago at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, doing what he loves, working with young horses. He suffered broken ribs and a punctured lung and will be out of work for several weeks while he recovers. Dave and his wife Susanne are people that exemplify a hard-working Indiana horse racing family and I’m asking that we step up and help with what we can!”
As of mid-December, 118 donations were made to the account and nearly $36,000 has been raised, overwhelming the Whites. Both Dave and Susanne are beyond appreciative of the support, and provided this statement:
“The outpouring of support and caring for us has been overwhelming! Though thank you is not enough, please know how much we appreciate the kindness of our harness racing family! Dave & Susanne White”
This is just another example of the exemplary people involved in Indiana Standardbred racing. It’s a great feeling to be surrounded by so many caring and generous people who look out for one another
