Those involved in harness racing have taken advantage of the Harold and Marcia Snyder Memorial Scholarship through Harness Tracks of America in the past. Thanks to the efforts of the David Snyder family and International Sound Corporation, the scholarship will stay in tact and will now be administered by the Harness Horse Youth Foundation beginning in 2022.

The Harness Horse Youth Foundation will now offer three scholarships annually for those connected to Standardbred racing.
Several requirements are included to receive the scholarship. The applicant must be personally involved in harness racing or have a relative involved. They just demonstrate financial need, but pursuing a career in harness racing is not required. The scholarship is available to high school seniors and older with a GPA of 2.5 or higher. The applicant must also be enrolled as a full-time student with a minimum of 12 credit hours.
The Snyder Memorial Scholarship joins the Curt Greene Memorial Scholarship and the Sweet Karen Scholarship, also administered by HHYF.
The deadline for each of the scholarships is June 1, 2022. More information is available at the HHYF website at www.hhyf.org or by contacting Ellen Taylor at (317) 908-0029 or via email at ellen@hhyf.org.
