Slabach Brothers is set and ready to go for the Hoosier Classic Sale, which begins tomorrow at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. The two-day sale begins each session at 10 a.m. and will feature eight yearlings carrying the “Skyway” farm name.

Slabach Brothers will offer eight yearlings that carry the farm’s name “Skyway” during the Hoosier Classic Yearling Sale Friday, Oct. 20 and Saturday, Oct. 21.
Slabach Brothers has seven pacing bred prospects, including a filly by Freaky Feet Pete named Skyway Freakshow. The filly is the latest foal from the tough race mare Marnie Hall, who has a mark of 1:49.0 and over $1 million on her card. She has produced several racehorses, including JC Onthebeach (1:50.1, $484,000), DA Delightful (1:48.3, $396,000), and Terror Hall (1:51.1, $200,000) to name a few. Out of 10 foals, seven are winners. Skyway Freakshow is her first Indiana sired product and she sells as Hip No. 358.
Also in the pacing pedigree is a first foal from the Well Said mare Verbosa Hanover, who is a half sister to the standout Vertigo Hanover, a Grand Circuit winning son of The Panderosa with a mark of 1:50.1 and more than $350,000 on his card. The family also includes Voracious Hanover (1:51.0, $299,000) and Viper Hanover (1:50.1, $212,000). The third dam is equally impressive with numerous winners with black type statistics. Skyway Van Gogh, a son of JK Endofanera, sells as Hip 108.
The lone trotter in the Slabach Brothers lineup is Skyway Gigi, selling early in slot 48. The Swan for All filly is the second foal of Skyway Jaylo, who took a mark of 1:55.4 and made $141,000 during her career which included wins on both the Indiana Sires Stakes circuit as well as the Indiana Sired Fair Circuit. Her only other living foal is a three-year-old and has a qualifying mark of 2:00.1. Skyway Jaylo is a half sister to Skyway Jaguar, who took a mark of 1:54.1 and earned more than $200,000.
All of the Slabach Brothers horses are staked to all the major events outside of the Indiana circuit. They are now in place and ready for the Hoosier Classic Preview Thursday, Oct. 19. They are located in Aisle 25 at the Sales Pavilion and will have videos and personnel available to give sale goers an early look at their consignment.
