Rockin Serena, former Indiana Sires Stakes champion and daughter of Rockin Image, picked up her second win of 2019 at Pompano Park Monday, Feb. 18. Trained by Melanie Wrenn and driven by Peter Wrenn, the five-year-old mare wired the field against conditioned pacing mares in a time of 1:52.4.

Owned by Emerald Highlands Farm, Dolne Farm Services LLC of Indianapolis, and Wrenn Racing LLC of Carmel, Ind., Rockin Serena earned a victory earlier in February in the Open Fillies and Mares Pace in 1:52.0. She is now two for six in 2019 and has 14 career victories with more than $279,000 in career earnings. Her best career time was taken at Hoosier Park as a four-year-old in a time of 1:51.2.
In the very next race at Pompano Park Monday, Always Ya Baby earned a win for driver Wally Hennessey and trainer Gaston Lareau, making it two Indiana-sired wins on the card. Owned by JP Houle Stables LLC of Florida and bred by Victory Hill Farm Inc., Always Ya Baby now has two wins in eight outings for 2019. The Always a Virgin eight-year-old, formerly trained by Tom Luther during her two and three-year-old seasons in Indiana, now has 25 wins in 231 career starts with more than $164,000 in earnings. Her career time was taken at Hoosier Park as a six-year-old in a time of 1:53.4.
