The Jayland Trotting Association will host a public auction filled with harness racing equipment Saturday, Feb. 2 beginning at 10 a.m. The auction will be held in the Bubp Hall, located behind the grandstand of the fairgrounds in Portland, Ind.

Already included in the consignment is a breeding donated by Schwartz Boarding Farm for Jailhouse Jesse, who has a mark of 1:53.3 and earnings in excess of $256,000. Also on the agenda is a 1999 Sundowner three-horse slant aluminum gooseneck trailer. Consignments into the sale will be accepted Friday, Feb. 1 between 4 and 6 p.m. and prior to sale time Saturday, Feb. 2.
Greg Runyon will serve as sales manager for the auction. Auctioneers Gary Loy, Ben Lyons, Travis Theurer and Aaron Loy of Loy Auction and Real Estate Auction Company will provide the auction.
Lunch will be available during the sale, which is held inside the heated Bubp Hall. Plenty of seating will also be available.
