A pair of Indiana trotters were among the entrants of the 2020 Winter Mixed Sale conducted by Tattersalls at The Meadowlands Monday, Jan. 20. A total of 212 horses were cataloged for the annual event.

Swan Before All, a gelded son of Swan for All, was the first of two to sell, bringing $30,000 in the sale ring from the Preferred Equine Inc. consignment. Scott Betts of Washington, Pa. signed the ticket. Now four, Swan Before All, came into the sale with two starts this year and one second. With four career wins and a bankroll of more than $75,000, the gelding earned a career best time of 1:55.4 last season at Woodbine. Swan Before All started off in the Melanie Wrenn barn at two and competed in Indiana Sires Stakes before being relocated to Canada in the middle of the summer last year.
The second trotter on the roster was Wings Up, a Swan for All five-year-old who brought $15,000. Also from the Preferred Equine Inc. consignment, Wings Up was purchased by Gary Levine of Ballston Spa, NY. And came into the sale with seven career wins and more than $111,000 in earnings. Wings Up took his career best time last summer at Harrah’s Hoosier Park in 1:56.4 from the Jeff Cullipher barn.
