The Hambletonian Society has announced it is extending the deadline for all early closing stakes, which includes Harrah’s Hoosier Park, until Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2019. Due to the nomination deadline falling on a Friday in 2019 coupled with President’s Day holiday falling on Monday, Feb. 18 with no mail service, the organization will allow all nominations into the early closing programs to be postmarked by Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2019 to be eligible for the stakes this season.

The extended nomination deadline will include the $300,000-estimated Dan Patch Stakes (nomination fee $1,000), set for Friday, Aug. 9 at Harrah’s Hoosier Park and the $220,000-est. Caesars Trotting Classic (nominating fee $500). Other stakes that fall into the extended deadline category include the $220,000-est. Carl Erskine (nominating fee $500); $100,000-est. Crossroads of America (nominating fee $500); $175,000-est. Hoosier Park Pacing Derby (nominating fee $1,500); $150,000-est. Jenna’s Beach Boy (nominating fee $300); $200,000-est. Monument Circle (nominating fee $500); $100,000-est. USS Indianapolis Memorial (nominating fee $500); $200,000-est. Kentuckiana Stallion Management (nominating fee $300); $125,000-est. Elevation (nominating fee $300); $60,000-est. Pegasus (nominating fee $300); $230,000-est. Kentuckiana Stallion Management (nominating fee $300); $70,000-est. Madison County (nominating fee $300); $75,000-est. Circle City (nominating fee $300) and new in 2019, the $50,000-est. Star Destroyer (nominating fee $300).
