Nissley Farms of Topeka, Ind. has a small but mighty consignment for the upcoming Hoosier Classic Yearling Sale. Their yearlings are spread over both days of the sale Friday, Oct. 21 and Saturday, Oct. 22.
The first to sell for Nissley Farms is a Swan in a Million colt named Outback Rocket with a Hip No. of 84. The colt is a half brother to Indiana sired Kristysgingergal (1:54.2, $161,000) and Onmygame (1:55.3, $142,000). The colt’s full brother, Botta Bing, has raced this year at two. Looking through the maternal side, the fourth dam is the great Armbro Flight who before having foals like millionaire Armbro Goal was a top notch trotting filly on the Grand Circuit. Outback Rocket is heavily staked, including the Breeders Crown and Hambletonian.
Switching to the pacing side, Rock N Brook is a filly from the second crop of Check Six selling as Hip No. 107. The filly is a first foal from the mare Rock Groupie with a mark of 1:54.1. Her second dam has produced standouts such as Allbeef N Nobull with a mark of 1:49.2 and nearly $500,000 in earnings. Moving on down the page to the third dam, buyers will find He Wants It All, who is a millionaire with a mark of 1:49.1 and CA Connection with a mark of 1:49.4 and $889,000 in earnings.
The final yearling from the Nissley Farms is a Tellitlikeitis filly named Jada Caroline, selling as Hip No. 405. The filly is from the mare Ideal Plan, who has a mark of 1:51.2 and six figures on her card. Jada Caroline is the second foal and her first, a full brother to the filly selling, is Plan To Tell who has competed in Indiana Sires Stakes action this season at Harrah’s Hoosier Park and has paced in 1:51.4. The third dam is Best Laid Plans, who earned a mark of 1:50.4 and more than $400,000 racing on the Grand Circuit. She has produced a grandson, This is the Plan, who has a mark of 1:47.3 and more than $2 million, showing the depth of the maternal side of Jada Caroline.
