A total of nine Indiana sired horses are set to sell in the Tattersalls Winter Mixed Sale at The Meadowlands Monday, Jan. 17. The Indiana horses are led by Swift Swanda, who sells as Hip No. 56 from the Preferred Equine consignment.
A daughter of Swan for All, Swift Swanda goes into the ring with a mark of 1:52.3 in a qualifier and more than $450,000 in earnings. The Indiana Sires Stakes champ, who is now four, is royally bred with her third dam the mother of CR Kay Suzie, Horse of the Year in 1995 and the mother of Dover Dan, who now stands in Indiana. Being sold as both a racehorse and brood mare prospect, Swift Swanda’s last start was recorded at Harrah’s Hoosier Park in mid November.
Another Indiana sired trotter selling is Swan on a Mission, listed as Hip No. 94. The Swan for All gelding is part of the Northwood Bloodstock Agency and has more than $186,000 in earnings. His best time is 1:53.4 and he has several Indiana Sires Stakes preliminary round wins to his credit. He comes into the sale with one start in 2022 at Dover Downs.
On the pacing side of things Rock With JK sells as Hip No. 71. The JK Endofanera gelding has a mark of 1:50.1 with earnings of $70,000. He is part of the Preferred Equine consignment. He qualified at the beginning of 2022 at Hawthorne, winning his qualifier in 1:59.0.
