Mast Standardbreds is putting the final preparations on their consignment for the upcoming Hoosier Classi Yearling Sale. The sale, held at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, is set for Friday, Oct. 20 and Saturday, Oct. 21.

Mast Standardbreds has several representatives from the first crop sires in Indiana for the Hoosier Classic Yearling Sale.
Mast Standardbreds has several first crop foals from highly anticipated stallions such as Pastor Stephen, Don’t Let’Em and Capt. Midnight. One filly that will garner a lot of attention is Hip No. 163, Better Tak’Em. The Don’t Let’Em filly is a half-sister to the tough Martini Show, Indiana Sires Stakes winner of more than $300,000. Martini Show has a mark of 1:53.4 and is joined by full sister Swans Maid, who has a mark of 1:55.1 and is also an Indiana Sires Stakes winner with more than $100,000 on her card. The family also include Collettes (1:55.3, $100,000) and Raise the W (1:58.2, $25,000). The second dam, Martini Time, has produced several black type trotters that fared well on the East Coast.
Another yearling selling under Mast Standardbreds is a filly by Pastor Stephen named Silent Breeze. The filly is the first for the farm to sell at Hip No. 28. She is a half-sister to Sea Surfer, who has been timed in 1:57.4 and a multiple winner on the Indiana Sired Fair Circuit. The family also includes a two-year-old named Surfer Dude, who has also been timed in 1:57.4 this year.
Another early seller is Surf Scoter, a son of first crop sire Don’t Let’Em selling as Hip No. 52. The colt is a half-brother to Yo Cheyenne, placed in Indiana Sires Stakes this season.
A colt with a lot of depth on the maternal side is Luxury Virgin, selling as Hip No. 403. The Always a Virgin son is from a Western Hanover dam that has produced several with sub 1:54 marks, including Hurrikanekingjames (1:50.3, $295,000). The second dam, Art Account, is also a producer of a lot of speed, including Bigtown Hero, with a mark of 1:47.3 and nearly a half million in earnings. The third dam is where it gets interesting. She is the great Delinquent Account, the millionaire mare by On the Road Again that has produced standouts such as Artiscape, also a millionaire. Luxury Virgin is the first Indiana sire foal from this family.
Mast Standardbreds is also serving as agent on a couple nice yearlings. Lucifermorningstar, a son of JK Endofanera, is a first foal from the Mysticism mare Gold Star Mysti, who has a mark of 1:51.0 and sells as Hip No. 285,
