‘Tis the season for giving and it is a great time of the year to give back to the harness racing industry. New Vocations is planning their annual online stallion auction. The Laura, Ohio facility is now accepting donations for the upcoming stallion auction set for Feb. 4 – 6, 2020. The event is the largest fundraiser for the organization.

New Vocations has placed hundreds of horses from the Indiana racing circuit for more than 25 years. Founded and operated by Dot Morgan, the facility takes in horses when their racing careers are complete and rehabilitates them for second careers. The horses are then placed with qualified adopters and have gone on to lucrative positions in the show ring, trails and other equine paths.
Former Indiana Sires Stakes champion Atlantis Secret was recently placed into New Vocations by owner Missy Essig. The Keep It A Secret gelding is featured in the upcoming issue of the Indiana Standardbred Magazine, which will arrive in homes the second week of December. New Vocations retrained the trotter who is now living in Wisconsin on the Steffes family farm.
