Just past the halfway point of the breeding season, the state of Indiana has 185 Standardbred foals currently registered with the Indiana Standardbred Breed Development. Several of foals already on the list have very successful older brothers and sisters, making for an impressive class that will be two-year-olds in 2022.

Some of the foals already on the ground in 2020 include a full brother to Swandre the Giant by Swan For All out of the mare Adagio. The colt was born Jan. 25 at the Ruddick Stables. Another colt that will have a lot of eyes on him at the 2021 yearling sale is a half-brother to Odds on Osiris, 2019 Pacer of the Year in Indiana. The colt, born March 1 at Mast Standardbreds, is by Tellitlikeitis from the mare Antiqua Hanover. Odds on Osiris, by Rockin Image, took a mark of 1:50.3 last year at two and earned in excess of $343,000.
Other foals of note this year include a half-sister to Summit City Swan (1:55.0, $160,000 last year at 3). The Helpisontheway filly was born March 7 at the farm of Karl D. Miller out of the mare Earls Miss Muffit, who earned a mark of 1:56.1 and $322,000 during her career. GT Miss Royal had a filly by Tellitlikeitis Feb. 12 at Victory Hill Farm. The filly is a half-sister to Little Rocket Man (Rockin Image), 2019 Indiana Sires Stakes Three-Year-Old Champion of 2019. Also, a filly by Luck Be With You was born March 5 at Luckiana Farms that is a half-sister to the great Schnitzledosomethin, who has a mark of 1:49.1 and earnings in excess of $744,000.
