The Michiana Classic Yearling Sale will be offered earlier this year for the first time in the six-year history of the event. Held at the Michiana Event Center in Shipshewana, Ind., the sale is joining forces with the Midwest Mixed Sale and will kick off the day with 83 yearlings in the 114-horse lineup.

CS Flying Co-Pilot will be one of several yearlings to sell in the Michiana Classic Yearling Sale and represent first crop sire Pilot Discretion.
The Michiana Classic Yearling Sale will offer several yearlings from first crop sires, including Freaky Feet Pete, Pilot Discretion, and Dover Dony. The first foal by the highly anticipated Freaky Feet Pete will sell as Hip No. 16. Warrior for Truth is part of the Brett Boyd Racing consignment and is the second foal from the mare Odds On Cygnus, who has a mark of 1:53.1. The maternal family includes numerous black type winners. The colt is eligible to the Fox Stakes, Hoosier Stakes, Horseman Stakes and the Indiana Sires Stakes.
Near the end of a sale, CS Flying Co Pilot will sell as part of the Oakwood Farms consignment for John Stoll. The colt is by first crop sire Pilot Discretion out of the mare, DC Jewel, who has already produced a winner in CS Massive Gem on the Indiana Sired Fair Circuit. DC Jewel, a daughter of Pinetucky, has a mark of 1:58.2 and is from the family of the great mare Spellbound Hanover, who earned nearly $1 million during her career and is the dam of Marion Marauder, winner of $3.3 million.
Danys Ace will represent new sire Dover Dony as Hip No. 43. The colt, consigned by Chapel Ridge Farm, is a son of Whykatiewhy and is her first foal. She is the daughter of Whybabywhy, winner of nearly a half-million with a mark of 1:54.4. Danys Ace is eligible to the Indiana Sires Stakes program, the Indiana Sired Fair Circuit, and the ISA Elite.
The Michiana Classic Yearling Sale is slated for Wednesday, Sept. 7 with a Noon start time. Following the yearlings, the Midwest Mixed Sale will kick in with mixture of weanlings, broodmares, and racehorses.
