Meadowbrook Farms is known for their slogan, “Raised Right to Race Right” and this year’s Hoosier Classic Yearling Sale will provide buyers with some nice prospects on both the trot and the pace. The farm will prep nine yearlings for the two-day sale Oct. 20 and 21, at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.

Meadowbrook Farm will offer nine yearlings in the upcoming Hoosier Classic Yearling Sale Friday, Oct. 21 and Saturday, Oct. 22 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.
Headlining the consignment is a full sister to the standout trotter TJ’s Top Pick. The filly, named Meadowbrook Dio, will sell as Hip No. 315. The dam, J As Ayd, was a good race mare herself, earning six figures and from a family of four $100,000 plus earners. In addition to TJ’s Top Pick, who has more than $400,000 on his card with a mark of 1:53.2, the filly is a half-sister to Meadowbrook Nola, a $70,000 winner with a mark of 1:55.2. In all, four of the five foals have raced.
Joining Meadowbrook Dio as a nice trotting option is Meadowbrook Chase, the second foal from the great Indiana trotting mare Foxy Swan. The You Know You Do colt follows half-brother Meadowbrook Mark, by Dover Dan, who has a mark of 1:55.2 and five wins. Foxy Swan won numerous Indiana Sires Stakes during her career while earning more than $234,000. The maternal line for the family is strong all the way to the bottom of the page. Meadowbrook Chase sells as Hip No. 271.
On the pacing side, Meadowbrook Farm kicks off the consignment early with Hip No. 10, a filly by JK Endofanera. Meadowbrook Amy is a first foal from the Rockin Image mare Rocksann, who has a mark of 1:51 and was an Indiana Sires Stakes contender. The real story moves back to the second dam, Giggles the Clown, winner of more than $650,000 with a mark of 1:50.3. She dominated the Illinois stakes races during her career, and in addition to Rocksann, is the dam of Always Giggling, winner of nearly a half-million with a time of 1:50.3.
Another pacer to capture attention in the Meadowbrook lineup is Hip No. 201, a Rockin Image colt. KP’s Fast Flight is the second foal of Charlie Hanover. The third dam of the family has strong Canadian roots as Cathedra was the 1995 O’Brien Award Winner for Two-Year-Old Pacing Fillies. She earned more than three quarters of a million during her career and passed her speed onto her foals, including Cathedra Dot Com, also an O’Brien winner with a mark of 1:51 and more than $1.5 million in earnings.
Other yearlings for Meadowbrook Farm include Meadowbrook Dora (Hip No. 32), Fastlane Tessa (Hip No. 128), Haven Lane Star (Hip No. 157), Haven Lane Duke (Hip No. 283) and Fastlane Rebel (Hip No. 347).
