Blue Bird Meadows, located in Middlebury, Ind., will welcome prospective buyers to their Open House with a hog roast. The two-day event set for Monday, Oct. 12 and Tuesday, Oct. 13 will showcase all the yearlings headed to the Hoosier Classic Yearling Sale. In all, there are 190 yearlings within a 30-mile radius that can be inspected in advance of the sale during the Open House.

Headed by Daryl Dwayne Miller, Blue Bird Meadows will prep 16 yearlings for the Hoosier Classic Yearling Sale, which is set for Friday, Oct. 23 and Saturday, Oct. 24. With a good mixture of trotters and pacers, the trotting yearlings will include five by Swan for All, one by Muscle Massive, and one by Dover Dan.
Selling as Hip No. 74 is a full sister to sophomore Bluebird Keepsake named Bluebird Fern. The filly is from a solid family with the third dam being Armbro Keepsake, winner of more than $1 million. Another Swan for All yearling is Bluebird Bishop, a full brother to Bluebird Reverend, who has earned in excess of $500,000. The colt is also a brother to Bluebird Deacon, who has had a strong sophomore campaign this year. Bluebird Bishop sells as Hip No. 200.
In the pacing ranks, Blue Bird Meadows will offer a full sister to Rockin Serena, winner of more than $400,000 and possessing a mark of 1:49.3. Set as Hip No. 99, Bluebird Venus joins an impressive list of winners from Day Lily Hanover, who has three winners from four living foals. Bluebird Venus is by Rockin Image.
