Breeders Crown has officially arrived at Harrah’s Hoosier Park. Two of the three nights of eliminations have now been drawn starting Thursday, Oct. 19 through Saturday, Oct. 21. A total of five elims will be held Thursday followed by nine on Friday, Oct. 20. First post both nights is 6:15 p.m.

Breeders Crown eliminations begin Thursday, Oct. 19, kicking off three nights of preliminary rounds for the main event Friday, Oct. 27 and Saturday, Oct. 28 at Harrah’s Hoosier Park.
Two-year-old filly trotters kick off the series in Race 3, including Buy a Round, winner of five of seven this season. The Walner filly starts from post five for Andrew McCarthy at odds of 8-5. The second division, slated as Race 5, featuring Drawn Impression, a daughter of Muscle Hill. Louis Roy drives from the rail at odds of 2-1. The third division features Warrawee Michelle, a daughter of Walner, who starts from post one at odds of 8-5 with Ake Svanstedt in the bike for Race 7.
Action switches to the freshman colts and geldings and showcases the first Indiana sired entrant as Dashing Danny starts from post five for Kyle Wilfong. Odds of 15-1 will open up wagering on the race for the Dover Dan son who has only missed the top two once in 15 tries. The other division for colts and geldings features another Indiana sired son as Musclefantastic and Robert Taylor start from post six. Fresh off their win in the Indiana Sires Stakes Super Final, they are slated at odds of 8-1.
The second night of eliminations starts with two-year-old filly pacers in Race 3. Pass Line, winner in nine of 11 starts this year, is favored from post two with Yannick Gingras in the bike. One other elimination for freshman pacing fillies is on the card, listed as Race 5 and Geocentric, the undefeated Sweet Lou daughter, starts from post two with Tim Tetrick in the bike.
Two divisions of three-year-old trotting fillies are included on the 15-race card. Also, two divisions of three-year-old filly pacers will be included.
The final set of eliminations includes three races for two-year-old colt and gelding pacers. Premier Romeo, a son of Rockin Image is included in the first elim with Kyle Wilfong in the bike. Martz Telly, winner of seven of 10 this season, will be in the second division to represent the Indiana sired contenders. The Tellitlikeitis son from the Ron Burke Stable starts from post two and will be joined by fellow Indiana sired entrant Stat That, a son of Check Six who starts from post four with LeWayne Miller at the controls. The final division features Noblesville, with Ronnie Wrenn Jr. driving, from post five. The JK Endofanera son has four wins this season.
A full lineup of activities will be held during Breeders Crown week, starting with the Breeders Crown Charity Challenge Gala, which is by invitation only, Sunday, Oct. 22. The event will be followed by the Indiana Horse Racing Association’s Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony in the Homestretch Clubhouse. Three individuals are being inducted, including Standardbred racing’s Joe Putnam and Jay Cross.
The draw for the Breeders Crown will be held Tuesday, Oct. 24. Fright Night at the Races, featuring the popular Equine Costume Contest, is set for Wednesday, Oct. 25.
Community Night and the Breeders Crown Welcome Reception will be held Thursday, Oct. 26. Breeders Crown Championship races begin Friday, Oct. 27 with the Breeders Crown Charity Challenge Awards Presentation and After Party immediately following the program. Saturday, Oct. 28 will be the final night of the Breeders Crown festivities featuring eight races in the prestigious series. An After Party will be held following the races.
