The Governor’s Cup Championships are just a month away at the Indiana State Fair, and the Indiana Sired Fair Circuit (ISFC) is moving closer to the finals. Here’s a look at the top three in each category heading to the $200,000 Championships in the “Quest for the Governor’s Cup.”

In the two-year-old filly pace, Kruisin Kristen leads the way in points with 281. Here We Go BB is in second with 243 and Check in Process is third on the list with 239 points. A total of 42 different pacing fillies have competed in two-year-old action this year on the ISFC.
In the two-year-old colt and gelding pace, a fierce battle is brewing. Lil Joe IV is currently on top of the leaderboard with 244 compared to M-M’s Tony with 243 points. Isitlikeittell is in third with 202.
The trotting colts and geldings in the freshman division are led by Help Dust with 295 points. Mr Knowitall is in second with 255 while Prince Henry is in third with 236. A total of 34 two-year-old colts and geldings have competed on the ISFC this season.
If Not For You leads two-year-old trotting fillies with 265 points. She is followed by Tucky Girl, who has 223 and Cash in the Bank with 219.
In the three-year-old ranks, Virgins Beach Boy leads the way with two early wins and a total of 218 points. Vel Larry is in second with 185 over stablemate Vel Bitter Chip in third with 183.
Three-year-old pacing fillies are the smallest group this season with only 17 participating on the ISFC. Babe’s Darla is atop the leaderboard with 223 points and four wins so far. AL Perfection is second with 198 over Velstraightdreamer with 163 points.
Three-year-old trotting colts and geldings are currently led by Lonestar Fashion with 295 points over Hand Dover Dan with 269 points. Both horses are trained by Doug Rideout. Molly’s Jail is in third with 164 points, just one ahead of Summit City Sonny with 163.
The biggest category of three-year-olds can be found in the three-year-old trotting fillies. Crescent Beauty leads the way with 383 points over Walk with Me at 307 and Fashion’s Way at 231.
The Governor’s Cup Championships are set for Thursday, Aug. 11. Consolations will be held first with the top point earners vying for the Governor’s Cup Championship trophies later on.
