Indiana Standardbred Association (ISA) members received ballots in the mail this week for the upcoming election of directors beginning in 2021. A total of six candidates are up for election in the “At Large” category with only five spots available.

Four incumbents are on the list for the ISA Director “At Large” spots, including John DeLong, Chad Gooding, Randy Hatton, and Dennis Petty. Two new candidates are included on the ballot this year as Curtis Sumpter and Robert Taylor are vying for a spot.
Ballots arrived in homes this week with two envelopes, one for the signature card and one for the ISA ballot. Ballots are kept confidential and are returned to Jones and Anderson CPA Group in Franklin. Ballots must be postmarked by Saturday, Oct. 24, 2020 to be eligible for the vote.
Each of the directors elected for the “At Large” position on the ISA Board of Directors will serve a three-year term. All candidates must be a resident of Indiana and be a current paid member into the ISA to be eligible for the board. All five candidates have submitted a short bio explaining their affiliation with the sport as well as reasonings for running for the board.
