Results are in for the Indiana Standardbred Association Board of Directors. Six directors will be added to the roster beginning Jan. 1, 2023, with two new faces in the mix.

James Yoder will be a first-time director representing the At Large region. Jay Hochstetler is also a new director and was elected to the Central region. Other board members re-elected for another three-year term include Matt Rheinheimer and Doug Rideout in the At Large region, Emily Dever in the Northern region, and Sarah Conrad in the Southern region.
Yoder, the son of successful Indiana driver Verlin Yoder, has had several top trotters as a trainer and driver in Indiana in recent years, including May Baby. Hochstetler, a graduate of the University of Kentucky, just made his first trip to the Breeders Crown as a trainer with his standout three-year-old pacer Ponda Warrior.
The 2023 Board of Directors will be elected at the first official meeting of the new board in early January 2023. Current board members serving include Joe Putnam (current president), John DeLong (current first vice president), Dennis Petty (current second vice president), Chad Gooding (current treasurer), Jeff Cullipher, Ernie Gaskin, Randy Hatton, Zach Miller, Robert Taylor, Dr. Alan White and John Wilson. The board is set to meet Monday, Dec. 5 at The Depot for the annual holiday dinner.
All ballots for the 2023 ISA Board election were recently sent to all ISA members and were submitted back to a third party for processing. Ballots were then submitted to the ISA’s election committee for final counts and results at the ISA Office prior to the board’s monthly meeting Monday, Nov. 7.
