Each year, several of the board positions for the Indiana Standardbred Association (ISA) are up for re-election or to be filled. This fall, a total of five “At Large” positions for the board will be on the ballot to ISA members. Early nominations are in for these positions with nine submitting the appropriate paperwork to be included in the election to fill the term beginning January 2024.

Five “At Large” positions are up for election this fall for the 2024 Board of Directors for the Indiana Standardbred Association.
Four current ISA Board Members are among those seeking reelection. They are John DeLong, who currently serves as the president of the board, Randy Hatton, Dennis Petty, and Robert Taylor. All four are seeking reelection to the board. The ISA Nominating Committee has also received petitions for a spot on the election ballot from Chad Clark, Joe Essig Jr., Tyler George, Rhys Helt and Susan Miller.
The ISA election is conducted by a third party on behalf of the organization. Ballots are mailed in October to all members and then are submitted to the third party before being presented to the nominating committee for calculations on the second Tuesday of November. Board members are elected to a three-year term on the ISA. The director positions are staggered among the 15 spots with five spots open for reelection each year.
ISA members should watch for ballots in the mail to determine the new class of ISA directors to be inducted for the term beginning January 1, 2024.
