The 2019 Indiana Stallion Registrations to the Indiana Standardbred Breed Development (ISBD) is due Monday, Oct. 1, 2018. The fee to register a stallion is $150.
Already for the 2019 breeding season, a total of 106 stallions have been registered, which surpasses the final tally from 2018 when there were 103 stallions registered in the state of Indiana. Stud fees range from $500 to $7,500 and several are listed with no fee as a private transaction.

According to the ISBD newsletter, new criteria have been implemented beginning this year. No bulk stallion registration forms will be mailed. For those wishing to register their stallion, the form is available on the ISBD Website. Forms may also be requested from the ISBD Office at (317) 233-3119.
Forms can be mailed or faxed but they must meet the Oct. 1 deadline. All forms must be postmarked by Oct. 1, 2018. No late registrations will be accepted.
For those who wish to register a stallion after the Oct. 1 deadline, a late fee of $400 is required. According the ISBD, the late fee is waived for stallions standing their first season in Indiana and reverts back to the $150.00 fee level.
