The 2022 Indiana Equine Economic Impact Survey has been in circulation for about a month, and this week, surveys will be mailed to those involved in the Indiana Standardbred industry. The survey is the second conducted in the state to update the old one provided by Purdue University more than a decade ago.

Purdue University will conduct a new survey for the Indiana horse racing industry. Surveys will be mailed the week of July 11 and are due back by Aug. 15.
The survey is vital to the development and progression of horse racing for all three breeds in the state of Indiana. The survey shows the economic impact as well as the participation in all 92 counties in the state. The survey becomes a useful tool for the breed organizations in verifying and supporting details needed for support and advancement of racing in the Hoosier State.
In addition to the mailed copies, the survey is available through a QR code located on the homepage of the Indiana Standardbred Association. Links are also provided via email and text blasts to all those involved in the Indiana equine industry.
It is vital that each and every person associated with the Indiana Standardbred industry completes the survey so Purdue can get the most accurate reading on state statistics. All surveys must be completed and returned by Monday, Aug. 15.
