The following is a statement released this morning from the Indiana Horse Racing Commission (IHRC):

As Industry stakeholders continue to work together to create and implement procedures to facilitate the re-opening of Indiana racetracks, we want to remind our industry participants to be aware of the social distancing requirements Governor Holcomb has put in place.

The Indiana Horse Racing Commission released a statement Wednesday, April 29 regarding current social distancing requirements and practices.

We know that everyone is excited to get back to racing and we share the enthusiasm!  However, until further notice, we strongly encourage participants to limit gatherings to 10 or fewer individuals, use proper self-care procedures and practice appropriate social distancing, etc. as Gov. Holcomb has mandated based on CDC recommendations.

Your cooperation helps the racing industry send the message that we are an industry that understands and takes Covid-19 implications seriously, as well as, one that is willing to make necessary sacrifices and take responsible actions in preventing its spread.
