It’s that time of year again when the popular podcast “Post Time with Mike and Mike” announce nominations for year-end awards in Standardbred racing. Nominations, limited to five in each category unless there is a tie in points, were announced during their show Thursday, Nov. 29 at 10:30 a.m. and include several who are associated with Indiana Standardbred racing.
Harrah’s Hoosier Park, known internationally for their cutting edge promotions, advertising and special events, is a nominee for the USTA’s Innovator of the Year. Verlin Yoder, winner of the 2018 Breeders Crown Two-Year-Old Filly Trot with Woodside Charm, has been nominated for the Larry Rheinheimer Small Stable of the Year. Albert Nash, who is not a resident of Indiana but is just as supportive of Indiana horsemen and horsewomen as well as the Indiana racing program, is also seeking his second award as the Ted Barcus Fan of the Year.
Voting is now open at the Post Time with Mike and Mike website at: Post Time With Mike and Mike.
