The Hoosier Classic Yearling Sale entries are now available. In addition to sale catalogs, the entries are offered through the company’s Website at www.hoosierclassicyearlingsale.com. A total of 373 Indiana sired yearlings have been cataloged for the sale Friday, Oct. 23 and Saturday, Oct. 24 beginning at 10 a.m. both days. The sale will be held at the Indiana State Fairgrounds and will be held during the eliminations of the Breeders Crown at Harrah’s Hoosier Park that weekend.

Several yearlings pop out on the page of the Hoosier Classic Yearling Sale, including a full brother to Shnitzledosomethin. The standout son of Fred and Ginger has a record of 1:49.1 and earnings in excess of $750,000. His full brother, Stormin Fred, sells as Hip No. 101 from the Luckiana Farm consignment.
Another yearling that will garner a lot of attention is a half brother to Little Rocket Man, selling as Hip No. 105. The JK Endofanera colt, named Royal JK, is the third foal from GT Miss Royal. Little Rocket Man has been stunning this year, including a track-record tying mile on Dan Patch Stakes Night at Harrah’s Hoosier Park. The Rockin Image four-year-old has in excess of $250,000 in earnings. His half-brother will keep the team at Victory Hill Farm busy as buyers will be taking lots of looks at the brown colt.
Bluebird Meadows will prepare a full sister to Rockin Serena for the sale. Bluebird Venus, set as Hip No. 99, will be in a prime spot during the first day of sale action. Rockin Serena, former Indiana Sires Stakes and divisional champ in the Hoosier State, has in excess of $400,000 in earnings and a mark of 1:51.
A full brother to Priceless, the standout pacing filly from the Brandon Bates Stable, will also be offered at auction. Rockin Paco, a colt by Rockin Image, has been consigned by Silver Stone Farms of Grabill, Ind. The colt will sell as Hip No. 157.
Breeders Crown champ Beckhams Z Tam has a full brother selling in the sale, Consigned by In Law Stables of Topeka, Ind., Always a Charmer sells as Hip No. 295.
One of the top trotting prospects in the sale will come from the Meadowbrook Farm consignment. Meadowbrook Nola, a half sister to TJs Top Pick, sells as Hip No. 167. The filly is a half-sister to Indiana’s top trotting freshman last year and is by Muscle Massive, one of the first crop sires for Indiana in 2020. Muscle Massive moved to Indiana in 2018 from Pennsylvania, where he stood at stud for seven years.
Another first crop sire in Indiana for 2020 is Luck Be Withyou, who has 41 yearlings cataloged in the Hoosier Classic Yearling sale. Dover Dan will also be represented for the first time at the yearling sales in 2020. The trotting stallion has 42 in the Hoosier Classic Yearling Sale.
After a quick scan of the entries, it’s just the tip of the iceberg regarding entrants in this year’s Hoosier Classic Yearling Sale. There are numerous top prospects during both days. Pedigrees are available along with the entries for the Hoosier Classic Yearling Sale. Some videos have already been posted and will be added as they become available.
A total of 20 breeding operations in the state of Indiana have taken out ads in the October issue of the Indiana Standardbred Magazine, which is due in homes the first week of October. Over the next few weeks, those breeders will be featured on the ISA Website leading up to the 2020 Hoosier Classic Yearling Sale.
