Harrah’s Hoosier Park will be one of four racetracks under the Caesars Racing umbrella in the first $35,000 Caesars Rewards Handicapping Challenge (CRHC). The event, sponsored by John Deere and Cowpokes, will take place Saturday, June 22 at eight locations in the eastern portion of the United States.

The CRHC includes five races from Harrah’s Hoosier Park, Harrah’s Louisiana Downs, Harrah’s Philadelphia and Indiana Grand. Players will choose from five races at each track to make up 12 races in the contest on a $2 Win and Place wager. All players must choose at least one race from each of the four tracks to be eligible for the contest prize money.
The top player in the contest will receive $20,000 plus an expense paid trip to the National Horseplayers Championship (NHC) in Las Vegas in February 2020. If that player wins both the CRHC and the NHC, then they will receive a $1 million bonus. The second place competitor wins $10,000 with third receiving $1,500. Places fourth through 10th will receive $500.
The entry fee for the CRHC is $150. To be eligible for the NHC seat and bonus, players must also be a member of the NHC Tour at a cost of $50.
To register for the unique contest that include both Thoroughbred and Standardbred racing, stop by Caesars Rewards on the racing side at Harrah’s Hoosier Park. Walk-ins will be accepted the day of and registration ends at 3:45 p.m. The first contest race will take place at approximately 4:15 p.m. EST.
