GD Striker, former contender on the 2019 Indiana Sired Fair Circuit for trainer-driver Don Eash, was an overwhelming winner in a conditioned trot at Monticello Raceway Monday, Dec. 23. The Guccio sophomore scored the victory by six and one-half lengths for his new connections.

Starting from post two, GD Striker went straight to the lead for driver Jim Taggart Jr. and trainer Gary Messenger. Through the gate to wire effort, the Indiana sired gelding increased his lead all the way to the finish line to win in 2:02.2 as the favorite of the field.
Now owned by Jason Darling of New Jersey, GD Striker, who was bred by Gerald Yoder, earned a new career best time with the win. He increased his bankroll to more than $20,000 with the win in his 32nd start of the season. GD Striker was one of 14 horses sold from the annual semi stable reduction sale by Eash.
