Indiana horsemen and horsewomen are gearing up for the 2021 racing season at Harrah’s Hoosier Park. With that comes stakes payments and the first round of deadlines are set for Monday, Feb. 15. Several of the Open stakes at Harrah’s Hoosier Park will have a nomination payment due.

Harrah’s Hoosier Park will host numerous stakes in 2021, including a few new ones. Many of the open stakes have deadlines for nomination payments of Monday, Feb. 15.
Facilitated by the Hambletonian Society, stakes on the list include the Elevation, Caesar’s Trotting Classic, Carl Erskine, Circle City, Hoosier Park Pacing Derby, Monument Circle, Pegasus Series, USS Indianapolis, Star Destroyer, Crossroads of America, Kentuckiana Stallion Management, Madison County, and Dan Patch Stakes. Also, Hoosier Park will offer several new stakes in 2021, including the Phil Langley Memorial and Thanksgiving Classic Series, also due Feb. 15.
The Indiana State Fair Grand Circuit Stakes are also included on the list for Monday. Those stakes are the Horseman, Hoosier Stake and the Fox Stake.
The Hambletonian Society offers several different forms of payment, from wire transfers to credit card payments. Returning to Hoosier Park in 2021 is the Hoosier Cup. The Hoosier Cup will be for Indiana sired three-year-old pacing colts and geldings with an elimination set for Sunday, June 27 followed by the $75,000 final and $17,500 consolations set for Sunday, July 4. There is no nomination required and all entry fees will be added into the final. The next round of nominations will include the Indiana Sired Fair Circuit, Indiana sired late closers and the Indiana Sires Stakes due March 15.
