Starting from post five, E Mode’s Desire floated over to the rail near the back of the pack in the second leg of the $15,000 George Williams Memorial Late Closer. The Real Desire gelding just followed along with the pack before beginning to move forward, unleashing a big stretch drive to get by rivals by one-half length at the wire. Gunrneedabgrboat A and Ricky Macomber finished second over Colition and John Delong to make it an Indiana driving trifecta.
E Mode’s Desire paid $18.00 as the winner. Bred by David Wayne Yoder, the gelding earned his first win in six starts for 2020. He now has 13 career wins and in excess of $52,000. E Mode’s Desire was only one of 16 yearlings sold at auction in 2017. Peterson purchased the gelding from the Blooded Horse Sale for $6,500. E Mode’s Desire is the last foal from the No Pan Intended mare O Panada. He has a full sister, Canadian Rocker, who is by Rockin Image, that has earned in excess of $151,000 and a mark of 1:54.0.
