The old saying “a picture is worth a thousand words” means a lot in horse racing. Harrah’s Hoosier Park and the Indiana Standardbred Association (ISA) are coming together to update the photo list for all media for the 2023 racing season. With the Breeders Crown right around the corner, it’s important for Indiana Standardbred racing to put on the best show possible, which includes ensuring all drivers and trainers have updated headshots.

All drivers and trainers are urged to update their headshots between 5 and 6 p.m. Thursday, May 25 in the driver’s lounge at Harrah’s Hoosier Park.
Updated headshots will take place from 5 until 6 p.m. Thursday, May 25 in the paddock lounge. Track Photographer Dean Gillette, who is also the official photographer for the ISA Magazine, will be taking head shots during this time. Drivers and trainers are asked to wear their colors so a true representation will be provided for all future media needs.
The updated headshots will be used for many purposes, including the nightly simulcast features offered at Harrah’s Hoosier Park. They will also be valuable for social media posts as well as information in the ISA Magazine. Tracks share photos when drivers and trainers venture to other facilities for stakes races and special events. Photos are also requested frequently from trade publications. It’s important to be able to provide an updated headshot for those racing in other states.
All drivers and trainers are encouraged to take part in this session.
