In one week, a lot will be decided. The Breeders’ Crown eliminations will determine the fields for the finals Friday. Oct. 30 and Saturday, Oct. 31, and the Hoosier Classic Yearling Sale will be completed, placing a lot of new horses into stables across Indiana. One consignment that will garner a lot of attention is the yearlings offered by David Wayne Yoder.

David Wayne Yoder will offer six yearlings with five being pacing prospects for the Hoosier Classic Yearling Sale.
Set up in Aisle 26 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, a total of six yearlings will be offered this year from David Wayne Yoder’s Farm, located out of Shipshewana, Ind. The consignment includes five pacing prospects and one trotting prospect. The lone trotting prospect is listed as Hip No 62, a filly by Muscle Massive. The trotter is a second foal and sister to Grand Circuit placed freshman Smile High Jesse. The dam has numerous siblings that have fared well out east, including Cyber Hall, who took a mark of 1:56.2 and earned in excess of $200,000.
One of the top pacing prospects for David Wayne Yoder is Ideal Poppy, listed as Hip No. 243. The bay colt is from the uber-tough mare, My Girl Maddie, who has produced eight winners, most notably the tough Jammin Joshua, who has a mark of 1:49.3 and in excess of $650,000. The Always A Virgin yearling colt also joins a family of winners that includes Tellitsassymae, Indiana Sires Stakes winner with a record of 1:50.1.
David Wayne Yoder will also sell Rock the Swoosh as Hip No. 310. The colt by Rockin Image is the second foal from a sister to Rock to Glory (1:49.2, $913,000) and Glorious Princess, the dam of 2018 Indiana Pacer of the Year Always a Prince (1:47.3, $855,000). This season the family has been represented by Odds on Carmel, who has been timed in 1:52.0.
