, Custom Cantab just keeps getting better with age. The now four-year-old daughter of Mr Cantab bested a field of older trotters in the $50,000 Graduate Series at Tioga Downs Sunday, June 9.

David Miller drove Custom Cantab and had the Indiana bred mare right on the front end from the start. She turned in fractions of :28, :57.3 and 1:24.2 before fending off Muscle M Up and Ake Svenstedt for the win by three-quarters of a length in 1:52.4. Mississippi Storm and Tim Tetrick finished third.
Although she had previously trotted in 1:51.3 at The Meadowlands, the mile in the Graduate for Custom Cantab was a new lifetime mark. Owned by Chris Beaver, Donald Robinson and RBH Ventures, she now has 16 wins in 34 career starts and more than $788,000 in earnings. Beaver trains the talented trotting mare.
Custom Cantab is the second richest foal of Mr Cantab, only behind world record champ Homicide Hunter. The $6,000 purchase from the Hoosier Classic Yearling Sale in 2016 has a two-year-old half-sister by Cherry Hill Park still owned by breeders Hoosier Standardbred Farm and Fair Meadow Farm.
