The Conrad Stable had a good day as racing resumed on the Indiana Sired Fair Circuit Tuesday, July 18 at the Newton County Fairgrounds in Kentland, Ind. The day started off with a victory in the first race as Rockinwithdave scored her fifth win in six starts this season.

Rockinwithdave and Carson Conrad rally home for the win in the first division of the ISFC at Newtown County Fairgrounds.
A daughter of Rockin Image, Rockinwithdave started from post one and held her ground along the inside as she was challenged by Shipps Revenge and Don Cincebox and Safe Guard and Martin Woodard. Shipps Revenge went onto the lead down the backside as the first quarter was clocked in :32.4, but Rockinwithdave was out and moving, taking over the top spot before hitting the second turn.
Rockinwithdave was in full command coming down the stretch for the first turn with the field following along in single file through the half in 1:04.3. Rockinwithdave continued to hold strong on the lead and after the three-quarters in 1:34.3, picked it up a notch and had an open length advantage for the stretch drive. In the stretch, Rockinwithdave was solid all the way to the wire for the win by one and three-quarter lengths, a final quarter in :30.2. Shipps Revenge finished second over Safe Guard for third.
Rockinwithdave, trained by Charlie Conrad, is owned by Sarah Conrad and Denice and David Lessen. She had her ears up most of the mile but when she returned to the winner’s circle, she did not like the blanket presentation for her victory and steered clear of the blanket held up for her winner’s circle photo. The two-year-old was bred by Arlen Girod and was purchased from the Hoosier Classic Yearling Sale last fall for $15,500. Her career best time of 1:56.2 was taken in late June during the ISFC stop at Harrah’s Hoosier Park, and she has already made half her purchase price as she leads the way to the Governor’s Cup Championship coming up in August at the Indiana State Fair.
The Conrads also connected in the first division of the two-year-old colt and gelding division as Hereisthedesire led gate to wire for the win in 2:08.0, a final quarter in :29.3. Celtic Tiger and Alexandra Sarkine finished four lengths back in second followed by Vel Piece A Cake and Clint Coy for third.
Hereisthedesire is owned by Sarah, Carson and Carder Conrad. The son of Real Desire was bred by Dale Wittmer and Danny Graber. The colt is now four for eight this season with his career best time of 2:01.3 taken at Shelbyville in late June.
The final winner on the Tuesday card at Kentland for the Conrad Stable was in the other division of freshman pacing colts and geldings. Rockin Cosette and Carson was a dominant winner in his division, winning by nine lengths following a gate to wire effort. PFC KC Wintin and Michael Detweiler finished second over Mister Hercules and Jimmy Daniel for third.
Rockin Cosette is owned by the same connections of Rockinwithdave, Sarah Conrad and Denice and David Lessen. The DeWayne Miller bred colt by Rockin Image gained his second win in his seventh start this year. He was also purchased from the Hoosier Classic Yearling Sale by Conrads for $9,000 last fall. The colt completed a triple on the day for the Conrads.
