The annual Welcome Back Bowling Party was a big hit with horsemen and horsewomen. Nearly 60 participated in an evening filled with food, bowling, prizes, and fun.
Several prizes were presented to those who excelled on the lanes at Championship Lanes located in Anderson, Ind. The prize for Men’s High Score and Most Strikes went to Tim Clevenger while the Women’s High Score and Most Strikes went to Tabby DeLong. Kids’ High Score and Most Strikes was awarded to Nate Macomber.
Other awards for the evening included Men’s Strike in Frame 7, won by Payton Ode, and Women’s Strike in Frame 7 won by Brooke Nickells. Also kids were rewarded with several drawings throughout the evening with the following earning McDonalds gift cards courtesy of the Indiana Standardbred Association. Those winning the drawing prizes included Jess DeLong, Bryce Nickells, and Pie Ode.
The ISA teamed up once again with Harrah’s Hoosier Park for the bowling outing. Hoosier Park provided all the prizes for the adults which included merchandise from the track and an air fryer.
Everyone in attendance enjoyed complimentary pizza and soft drinks while bowling during the event. ISA Executive Director Tony Renz, ISA Horsemen’s Representative PD Huffman, and ISA Director Emily Dever assisted with the event that was attended by several other ISA Directors and their families.
The event serves as a perfect backdrop to kick off the 2023 racing season in Indiana and a great way for horsemen and horsewomen to reconnect after the winter off from racing at Harrah’s Hoosier Park. Best of luck to everyone in racing for the 30th season at the track.
