Aron and John Bontrager Jr. have teamed up for a strong trotting consignment for the upcoming Hoosier Classic Yearling Sale. The petite group of trotters features brothers and sisters to some standout trotters on the track right now in Indiana.

The Bontrager Consignment features six trotters in the Hoosier Classic Yearling Sale Friday, Oct. 20 and Saturday, Oct. 22 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.
Leading the charge is a full brother to Sure Do, 2023 Governor’s Cup Championship for three-year-old trotting fillies. The You Know You Do filly has a mark of 1:54.2 and more than $75,000 in earnings. The maternal side goes deeper. The dam, Challax Hanover, is a sister to four $100,000 earners, including Combs Hanover (1:52, $267,000). Sure Do’s brother, Sure Did, is already a gelding for some cost savings and sells as Hip No. 200 in the sale.
Also featured in the Bontrager consignment is a full sister to two-year-old Indiana Sires Stakes winner this season Elhelpski. The filly named Kelsey’s Reason is a second foal from the mare Kelsey Hanover (2:02.1, $11,000) by Muscle Massive and has a lot of black type behind her. She is a half sister to Aunt Mel (1:54, $280,000) and the third dam has produced Emile Angus ($262,000), Decca Angus ($148,000), and Goliath Angus ($145,000). Kelsey’s Reason sells as Hip No. 331 and is paid in to all the Indiana events plus the Breeders Crown, Onkers Trot, and Hambletonian, just to name a few.
Other yearlings selling under the Bontrager consignment include Herecomes Karen (Hip No. 101) and Dover Diva (Hip No. 209), both fillies by Dover Dan, Winning Vibes, a gelding by the new sire Don’t Let’em selling as Hip No. 212, and Spunky Jasper (Hip No. 218), a gelding by Helpisontheway.
