Indiana Sires Stakes action continues Tuesday, Sept. 15 featuring two-year-old trotters. Two divisions each are set for the colts and geldings and fillies. The first division of fillies has a great matchup between two former winners in ISS action.

Swift Swanda, a winner in four of six starts, and Country Girl Charm, a winner in four of five starts will face each other in the fifth round of freshman trotting filly action. The $38,500 division is carded as the seventh on the program with Swift Swanda and Country Girl Charm starting on both ends of the gate.
Swift Swanda will begin from post one with Trace Tetrick in the bike. The Swan for All filly finished second in the fourth round of the ISS. Trained by Erv Miller, she brings a mark of 1:55.2 and earnings in excess of $57,000 into the race.
Country Girl Charm will begin her journey from post nine. The Whom Shall I Fear filly was also defeated in her last ISS start, finishing seventh after making a break. Trained and driven by LeWayne Miller, Country Girl Charm has a mark of 1:56.3 and earnings just over the $44,000 mark and is the slight favorite at odds of 9-5 over Swift Swanda, who leads the standings in ISS points with 129.
In the second division of ISS action for freshman colts and geldings, Breckenridge will be seeking his fourth win in his seventh start of the year. The Class Included gelding is trained and driven by Dan Shetler. With more than $67,000 in earnings, Breckenridge’s best time to date is 1:56.4. He kicks off wagering for the race as the favorite at odds of 3-1.
Brookview Bolt joins Breckenridge as a favorite in the field. The Swan for All gelding has three wins and two seconds in six starts this year and earnings in excess of $62,000. Trained by Ron Burke, Brookview Bolt starts from post eight with Sam Widger at the controls. Both Brookview Bolt and Breckenridge are tied atop the standings for ISS points this year with 154 each. Swingforthefences is ranked third with 124 points.
The Indiana Sires Stakes will hold one more preliminary round before the Super Finals, set for Friday, Oct. 16.
