Beckhams Z Tam, the Breeders Crown winner from 2017, is back on track. The now seven-year-old horse made his first start back at Oak Grove Racing Nov. 9 after winning his qualifier in 1:56.0. He returned to make his second start Monday, Nov. 15 and finished fourth and pacing his mile in 1:55.3 in the $7,800 conditioned pace.

Owned by Z Tam Stables of New York, NY, Beckhams Z Tam now has 75 career starts and 17 wins. His earnings are over the $800,000 mark and his career best time stands at 1:49 taken at Harrah’s Hoosier Park as a four-year-old. Beckhams Z Tam is a registered stallion in the state of Indiana and had his first foals on the track this season.
Out of only eight foals from his first crop, Beckhams Z Tam had three that took marks, including Everything Z Tam, who won in 1:54.1. His second crop, who will be two-year-olds in 2022, consists of six and there are currently five weanlings registered at the U.S. Trotting Association.
