Harrah’s Hoosier Park has announced the barn area and dormitories will be open Saturday, March 7 for horsemen and horsewomen to begin moving in for the upcoming 2020 racing season. All horsemen who have been allotted stalls may begin moving in horses and equipment, according to a press release from Harrah’s Hoosier Park.

The track will open for training Monday, March 9 from 6 a.m. until 2 p.m. The paddock and ship-in area will also be open beginning March 9 for those wishing to ship-in and train. Track availability is reliant on weather conditions.
Horsemen will be greeted with several upgrades including a full renovation of the track kitchen, and new lighting, rubber mats and signage in the paddock. The first qualifier is Saturday, March 14 at 10 a.m.
Racing begins Friday, March 27 for the 160-day racing season. The meet will join the full five day per week schedule beginning in May with all racing beginning at 6:30 p.m.
The ISA Welcome Back Horsemen event is set for Wednesday, April 1 in the paddock and ISA Night at the Races is set for Friday, May 8 in the lower level of the clubhouse.
