Aron Bontrager has a small but mighty consignment for the upcoming Hoosier Classic Yearling Sale, set for Friday, Oct. 21 and Saturday, Oct. 22 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. The four entrants are spread out during both sessions.
The Aron Bontrager consignment will offer four yearlings at the Hoosier Classic Yearling Sale.
The Bontrager consignment kicks off with hip No. 12, a Helpisontheway gelding named Elhelpski. It’s the second crop of Helpisontheway, who has had an outstanding first crop season this year and out of the Muscle Massive mare Kelsey Hanover. It is her first foal, and she is a half sister to Aunt Mel, winner of $280,000 and a mark of 1:54.0. Aunt Mel is also the dam of Anoka Hanover with a mark of 1:52.3 and nearly $800,000 in earnings.
Another first foal will sell as Hip No. 231 as Swanthing Else will walk in the ring. The filly is by Swan in a Million and the first foal from All Munky Business, a daughter of Dream Vacation, who has more than $185,000 on her card. She is also a sister to Gus Is All Lane (1:59.3, $66,000). Swanthing Else is from the second crop of Swan in a Million.
Up next for the Bontrager consignment is Helpspaythebills, a gelding from Classic Filly who has already produced If Not For You who took a mark of 2:05.3 on the Indiana Sired Fair Circuit this season by Doug Rideout. Helpspaythebills is the second foal and has several black type winners on his maternal side, including Ventis Iceman (1:54.3, $443,000) and Amesbury (1:56.0, $366,000).
The final foal for Bontrager is just a few Hip Nos. away from Helpspaythebills. Atickquicker, a Helpisontheway filly, sells as Hip No. 309. She is a half sister to Spunky Jill who was timed in 1:57.4 this season. Her dam, Cuddle Punk, is a six-figure earner and a full sister to Spunky Jack, winner of 31 races and more than $531,000.
