Looking for a chance to be involved in the Indiana Standardbred racing scene? The Indiana Standardbred Association (ISA) is currently taking applications for two positions available for the 2019 racing season. The organization will hire a Horsemen’s Representative as well as a Gator Driver at Hoosier Park during the races.
Applications for the ISA Horsemen’s Rep and Gator Driver are due by Dec. 31.
The ISA Horsemen’s Representative position is open to individuals who are members of the U.S. Trotting Association in good standing, a member of the ISA and a resident of Indiana during the employment period. Duties for this position include representation of the ISA membership on the backstretch at Hoosier Park, assist the ISA with administrative duties such as sulky insurance and primary care medical programs and attend the draw, just to name a few responsibilities.
The ISA Gator Driver position is open to individuals with a valid Indiana vehicle operator’s license with no restrictions or conditions. The position begins three hours and 15 minutes prior to the first race post time and 15 minutes after the completion of the last race each night.
All interested individuals should submit applications to the ISA Office by Dec. 31, 2018.
